Bri + John found us through one of our favorite couples in Becky and Matt Hall. Their Vermont wedding pulled us out of Boston for a picturesque weekend in the quaint town of Dorset. With a northern location in the Green Mountains of Vermont, the leaves were just starting to turn on this September weekend which provided a great landscape for the photo session, as well as during other parts on the day.

The entire wedding took place within walking distance, as the preparations, the ceremony and the reception were almost all on the same street. The preps were filled with laughter and included a sentimental gift exchange between the couple. After a first look in the mountains, the couple were married in the United Church of Dorset. It was one of those small, adorable churches with lots of character.

The reception brought us directly across the street to the Dorset Field Club for an elongated cocktail hour on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Bri and John’s reception took place under a beautiful tent at the Dorset Field Club. The Field Club is actually the oldest continuously operated gold course in the United States. We enjoyed sharing the day with Alexandra Roberts and the super friendlyTara Pollio from Tara Pollio Floral Event Design. Enjoy our latest Boston wedding film from the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Cristina and Alan found us organically through the internet, so it wasn’t until later in the process that we really go to know them. We quickly found out how this Boston couple lives a long-distance relationship of sorts, as Alan’s job has him traveling quite often throughout the year. Travel became a mini-theme of this wedding, and as we found out throughout the weekend, this long distance relationship may be making Cristina and Alan’s connection even stronger.

Although they live in the city, our latest Boston Wedding Film took us up into the Mountains of Vermont. It wasn’t our first wedding film in Stowe, as we survived Hurricane Irene while filming in August of 2011 at the Stowe Mountain Resort. But, this was our first wedding at the Top Notch Resort. We never mind the ride up I-91 through the gorgeous mountains of Vermont once in a while, and this location did not disappoint.

Cristina and Alan chose to have an outdoor ceremony in the fields below the resort and followed that with a tented reception on the property. The film opens with an aerial shot of this beautiful property. We loved the intimate feel of this wedding as the couple chose to have four of their friends share wedding advice during the ceremony. Each couple delivered warm messages, but everyone had a little different meaning or focus. The dancing fun started right away with a semi-choreographed first dance. We loved how Cristina incorporated her personality into the wedding day with a change into cowboy boots for the reception. The details were awesome too from the paper lanterns to the marquis letters to the Rustic tables. We didn’t catch this when it was first posted, but it’s always nice to be respected within the wedding industry. We always strive to work seamlessly with the photography team so that both of us can produce the best products for our couples. It was kind of ironic that two vendors living in the same area from the I-91 corridor had never crossed paths, especially seems we both shoot our fair share of Vermont weddings. Here is Cronin Hill’s quick snippet of their experience with us:

“We had the pleasure of recently working with the team from JPod Productions.  It wasn’t known until wedding day that we were both from Western Mass, and here we were shooting a wedding together in    Killington, Vermont!  From the moment we met Jamie and Mia, we knew it was going to be a great day!  For us, communication between vendors is so important!  We quickly chatted about how each team worked to achieve the best shots possible for our clients. Having two photographers and two videographers can sometimes be tough because each jockeys for position to get ‘their shot’.  We can honestly say, there was none of that with this team :)  We all watched out for each other, got the shots we needed, and had a great time doing it!  We hope to get the chance to work with Jamie and his team again.  We highly recommend contacting JPod Productions for all your videography needs.”
